Skiing Chickie

Here is one of those cute little chick stamps from Denami Design. This stamp is only little so in order to make him be the main focal point I simply did a lot of layering!! I started off by stamping the bigger circle dot frame and the smaller circle dot frame onto separate pieces of white card using a red inkpad. I stamped the chick into the smaller dot frame using the Starlite Black Brilliance and then coloured him using Polycolor pencils and Sakura Stardust pens. Each of the circles was cut out using my Nestabilities die and then layered to scallop circles also cut from a Nestabilities die. The chick circle was then stuck centrally to the larger one. A white opaque pen was used to add dots to the scalloped red circle.

The background to the card was then stamped using Versamark, grey and black inkpads.

Stamps used:
Denami Design
C66 Skiing Chickie
E114 Small Dot Circle Frame
M65 Large Dot Swirls
J121 Demi Dot Circle Frame
J125 Merry Christmas Circle
F181 Classic Season's Greetings
G143 Christmas Holly Vine

Hello Kay
Like the card especially the background, must try to do something similar on the next card I make.
Re:- "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer, one person knew of her through her son or at least she thought she did it had stuck in her mind as there has been some talk of plagiarism with one of her books. Does she write about vampires?
If so then there is an official website of her U.K., publisher it is:- www. stepheniemeyer.co.uk
She thought the info' on the paperbook might be available on there.
Hope that's of some help.

Hi Rita,

Thanks for taking the trouble to find out what you could regarding Breaking Dawn. Yes Stephanie Meyer does write about vampires! I had already tracked down her website but they are obviously keeping the paperback release date to themselves!! Thanks for trying though - I really appreciate it!

Hi Kay,

The little chick is adorable and definately takes centre stage with all the matting and layering. It's good that the circle dot stamps fit nicely inside the nesties. The background is very effective too.

I'll be using my monthly Cut@Home (USA)40% code in a day or two to get some more nesties or maybe the pendants or the borderabilities. Decisions, decisions...

Hugs, Pauline x
