Best Wishes Butterflies

Here's a card using the Funky Frames and Fancy Flourishes stamp sheets that I also did for The Craft Barn's June Extravaganza. I can't believe that it won't be too long now before the next one in September - we just seem to be whizzing through this year at such a fast rate!!

I used the Coloursoft pencils and Sansador to colour the imagery on this card. Sansaor or Zest It blending solution really is a great way of getting a lovely blended look to your colouring and it is SO easy to do - I LOVE IT!!

Three Little Tiles All In A Row

Oops - sorry guys!! I was just too tired yesterday to post anything up as I had a really full day. I will tell you soon exactly what has been keeping me SO busy now that it is all done with!

Meanwhile here is another of those Craft Barn Extravaganza cards. I know that I mentioned about posting up those Glitter Pot class cards but I still haven't had time to load them up - once I have I will start posting them - promise!!

Anyway this card was made using the Funky Flowers and Fancy Flourishes stamp sets along with some Arabella Basic Grey paper along the bottom of the card. The flowers were stamped onto frosted shrink plastic, coloured and then shrunk down.

Don't forget that my blog candy ends at midnight tomorrow so you still have time to enter!!

Butterfly Card from The Craft Barn's Summer Extravaganza

Hi Everyone. I don't think that I have shown you this card but if I am duplicating myself I do apologise!! Things here are mega busy at the moment so I don't have time to check!!

A quick posting this time I'm afraid. The butterflies are from the Funky Frames stamp sheet and that fine flourish is from the Fancy Flourishes stamp sheet. The butterflies are also on textured shrink plastic that was heated and shrunk first with a different flourish then stamped into it whilst it was still hot - one of my favourite techniques infact with shrink plastic.

I'll try and post again tomorrow............

The last of the Newbury Cards

Well finally here is the last of the Newbury cards using those Stamps By Judith rubber stamps. I really did like working with these which was why I did so many!!
Again the image has been coloured using Polycolor pencils and Zest It blending solution. These pencils just glide onto the card and are a joy to work with.
As you can see no card is complete without the Judikins Mince Flourish making an appearance in the corners!! The paper this time is by Denami.
All products and stamps are available from Stamp Addicts.
By the end of this week I should be able to lift my head above water and start responding to your comments again! But meanwhile my thanks to those of you who have taken the time and trouble to leave me a comment - as always they are truly appreciated.

Lemon and Lime

Morning everyone. A very quick post today just to show you this card that I did for the Newbury show using those Stamps By Judith. Image was coloured using Polycolor pencils and Zest It blending solution and the background papers are by Daisy Bucket.

All products are available from Stamp Addicts.

Poppies

Morning guys. I was at The Glitter Pot yesterday all day so just didn't get chance to post anything up yesterday! My thanks to everyone who came yesterday - I hope that you enjoyed it. The afternoon class was certainly very different for me because as everyone who knows me, I don't often do quick and simple cards which was what we did in the afternoon. (I'll post up the cards we made next week some time.)

Anyway here is another of those cards from Newbury using the Fine Poppy and butterfly stamps - this one I do like!! I love poppies in real life but it grieves me that they only seem to last for one or two days at most!! Here they were coloured using those Polycolor pencils and Zest It blending solution. As you can see I used that Mince Flourish again to decorate around the edges of the card and those green papers are by Daisy Bucket.

All products are available from Stamp Addicts. However you won't find the wording stamp, the poppy stamp or the butterfly stamp on their website as these are all by Stamps By Judith and unfortunately they are not allowed to display these stamps on their website even though they have got them on their shelves! So if you see anything you like by Stamps By Judith just give Stamp Addicts a ring on 01234 855833.

Hollyhocks

Morning everyone. I thought I'd give the Craft Barn cards a little rest and show you the remainder of the Newbury cards for the next few days. As you can see I didn't use many stamps on this one at all. The hollyhocks were stamped 3 times with Graphite Black Brilliance and coloured using Polycolor pencils and Zest It blending solution. Dots were then lightly stamped around the hollyhocks (Stamps By Judith) using a light blue pen - just to take away the starkness of the surrounding area and the frame was hand drawn with a fine line black pen. The dotty swirls (Denami were stamped using Versamark onto Bazzill cardstock and the Mince Flourish (Judikins) and wording (Stamps By Judith) were stamped over the top of the swirls using that same Brilliance inkpad. The zigzag stitching was hand drawn as a finishing touch using the fine line black pen (Millenium 0.1).

A different colour scheme again for me and I must admit that I don't really like this one but at least I am experimenting!!

All stamps and materials for this card are available from Stamp Addicts.

For You

My thanks to everyone who's left me comments over these last few days - I have really enjoyed reading them. Sorry that I haven't been able to respond but I have had my nose firmly to the grindstone and will continue to have for the next couple of weeks. After that I may be able to lift my head up now and again from my workspace and look around instead of having my eyes firmly glued to the table!!

Anyway here is another of those cards from The Craft Barn weekend. (Can you believe that it will only be a few weeks before the next one??) The flowers are from my Funky Frames stamp sheet and have been coloured using Coloursoft pencils and Sansador and the words and flourishes are from my Fancy Flourishes stamp sheet. Not my usual sort of colour scheme this one but I do actually quite like it - I hope you do too!!

Tangerine Dream

Here's another one of those tall slim cards with shrink plastic flowers and that Arabella Basic Grey paper. The flowers (from the Funky Flowers stamp sheet) were stamped onto frosted shrink plastic and coloured using Coloursoft pencils and then shrunk.

The paper was of course embellished using different flourish stamps from Fancy Flourishes.

All products are available from The Craft Barn and the stamps are available from either The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.

Just For You Flowers

As I have SO many cards to show you from The Craft Barn's Extravaganza Weekend I thought that I would carry on showing you these for a little while before I show you some more that I did for Newbury. (See..................I was a VERY busy bunny!)

The flowers are from my Funky Flowers sheet and were coloured using Coloursoft pencils and Sansador and the flourishes and wording are from the Fancy Flourishes stamp sheet. The papers are of course Basic Grey which I just stamped over using different flourishes and inkpads to jazz them up a bit.

I hope you like!!!!!!

Right I'm off to go and get busy - again!!

Shrunk Dotty Flowers

For this card I used the same flowers as for the one I posted up yesterday but this time I stamped them onto frosted shrink plastic. This is one of the reasons why I tend to have bigger designs on my stamp sheets so that they will work well with shrink plastic too.

The flourishes that you see are of course from my Fancy Flourishes stamp sheet and the paper at the base of the card is Arabella by Basic Grey. I just LOVE that paper as it goes with anything nature orientated really well.

I've got to be honest now and say that I can't remember what I coloured the flowers with - it was either Copics or Coloursoft - I was working with both of these mediums for The Craft Barn weekend and as that was now a few weeks ago I can't remember which I used!!

Anyway all the materials are available from The Craft Barn (regardless of whether it was Copics or Coloursoft!) and the stamps can be purchased from either The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.

Pink Dotty Flowers

Good morning. Here's another of those cards from The Craft Barn weekend using both the Funky Flowers and the Fancy Flourishes stamp sheets.

The background paper that you can see is by Basic Grey and is from the Phoebe range. The whole of the card background has been built up using different flourishes and inkpads and the colouring was achieved using Coloursoft pencils combined with Sansador.

All products are available from The Craft Barn and the stamp sheets can be bought from either The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.

Shrunk flowers

Good morning. My thanks to those of you who have left me such lovely comments over the past couple of days. I am still really busy so haven't had the time to reply to them but be assured that I am reading them and that they mean a lot to me!!

Anyway with that said here is another of those Craft Barn cards made with the Funky Flowers and Fancy Flourishes stamp sheets. As you can see this time I stamped the flowers onto frosted shrink plastic using Graphite Black Brilliance. I did all my stamping and colouring (using Coloursoft pencils) on the frosted side and then shrunk them down. They actually shrink down to quite a nice size.

The background paper is that Arabella one again from Basic Grey with flourishes stamped over the top of it and around the edge. I really like decorating my background papers in this way. Being a stamper first and foremost, using background papers is a bit alien to me but being able to decorate them somehow makes them more appealing to me!!

Tall Dragonflies/Butterflies

My thanks to everyone who commented on yesterdays card - you seemed to really like that one!
For this card I stamped the backing paper (Basic Grey) using one of my flourish stamps and then added small strips of the same backing paper and stamped the wording onto them. Both the wording and the flourish came from the Fancy Flourish stamp sheet. The dragonflies/butterflies (from the Funky Frames stamp sheet) were coloured using Coloursoft pencils and Sansador and the shrink plastic tiles behind them were stamped with one of the flourish stamps.
All the materials used on this card are available from The Craft Barn and the stamp sheets can be purchased from either The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.

Blue and Purple Funky Flowers

Morning guys. I thought I would go back to showing you some of the card examples that I did for The Craft Barn's June weekend. The flowers are from my Funky Flowers stamp sheet and all the flourishes and wording are from the Fancy Flourishes stamp sheet. The colouring was done using Coloursoft pencils, Sansador and paper stumps and the background paper is by Basic Grey.

I hope you like it!!

The Craft Barn's September Extravaganza Weekend

Morning everyone. Just wanted to let you know that The Craft Barn are now advertising their second Extravaganza Weekend of the year. The June weekend was really popular and so this time it is being held in 2 venues (opposite to each other). This should hopefully give everyone more room and not be quite so congested. The dates for your diary are Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Click here and head on over to The Craft Barn's website where you can find out more about it. I will be there for both days and apparently I'll be using my new fave markers - the Copics!! So if any of you have any questions about them I'll do my best to answer them although to be honest I am still learning with them myself!! So hopefully I'll see you there................

Newbury Card 4

Morning everyone. Here's another card using those Stamps By Judith again. This too is quite quick to do as you simply start by stamping the poppy centrally onto your card and then stamp the daisy either side. Stamping the Mince Flourish in the top left and bottom right corners, just ties the card altogether and gives the impression of foliage. This really is one of my most favourite stamps - I use it an awful lot! Infact Sarah (from Stamp Addicts) saw my stamp when I was last up there and she couldn't believe how dirty the surrounding wood was!! What can I say???????? I LOVE that stamp and I certainly don't get time to varnish the wood to stop it from getting dirty - just think of all that stamping time that would be wasted!!

Stamps By Judith
H-195 Fine Poppy
F-239 Small Single Daisy
AAA-04 Dots

Denami - M65 Large Dot Swirls

Judikins - 2972G Mince Flourish

The green paper is by Daisy Bucket and the colouring was done using Polycolor pencils combined with paper stumps and Zest It blending solution. Once again all stamps and materials are available from Stamp Addicts but don't forget to give them a ring on 01234 855833 to order any of the Stamps By Judith range.

Newbury Card 3

Here is another card made with those Stamps ByJudith stamps. Like yesterday this is also a quick'ish card to make as you simply stamp a hollyhock 3 times and add a little bee. Because the flowers on the hollyhocks are so little they don't take much colouring either!! Talking of colouring they were coloured with the Polycolor pencils and then just lightly dabbed with a paper stump dipped in Zest It just to blend the colour.

Stamps By Judith
F-187 Small Hollyhock
AA-45 Bee

Denami - M65 Large Dot Swirls

Judikins - 2972G Mince Flourish

Once again all materials and stamps are available from Stamp Addicts including the green background paper which is a Daisy Bucket one.

Newbury Card 2

Good morning. My sincere thanks to everyone who responded to my plea yesterday!! You were all indeed right and it was Lavinia Stamps so thanks so much. There were a few stamps that I really liked on that stand but didn't have the time to purchase them so at least I can do that now thanks to you!

So after you all being so kind as to help me out I thought I ought to post up another card from Newbury. This one is actually quite quick to do as there isn't too much colouring involved and not an awful lot of stamps either!!

The colouring was done with those Polycolor pencils again along with the Zest It blending solution and the background was achieved using the Denami Dot Swirl stamp along with Versamark ink and Clear embossing powder with the Judikins Mince Flourish stamped over the top with Brilliance Graphite Black. As the Meerkat advert says 'Simples!'

Stamps By Judith
F-239 Small Single Daisy
AAA-04 Dots
D-104 Just For You

All stamps and materials are of course from Stamp Addicts but as you all know by now they are not allowed to put the Stamps By Judith stamps on their website so if at any time you see any you like then just give them a ring on 01234 855833.

Can Anyone Help?

Morning guys. I wondered if anyone out there can help me that went to Newbury stamp show last weekend? I am trying to track down the name and details of a particular company that was there. I had a very quick look around before the show opened and was quite taken with a particular stand but time was getting on and so I didn't get the chance to make a note of the name. If any of you went and can remember the name of the stand that was next to the Craftwork Cards stand (to the left of them as you stood facing their stand), selling a range of clear rubber stamps I would very much appreciate it if you could let me know the name of the company and also their web address, if they have one. Unfortunately I didn't pick up a brochure otherwise I could have just looked up the details myself.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone out there can help me!!!!

August Classes

Just a quick post today to let you know that I have a day of classes booked at The Glitter Pot on Saturday 22nd August. Because of other commitments this will be my last Saturday class there for some while. Both of these classes are going to be technique based so if any of you out there struggle with your colouring then these will be the classes for you!! In the morning I will be showing you how to colour with dye-based inkpads and in the afternoon we will be covering how to colour with watercolour pens (i.e. Marvy's/Tombows).

My classes on 24th July at The Glitter Pot are fast approaching now too and as far as I know there are still a few spaces left. For more details on any of the classes click here and this will take you to The Glitter Pot's website.

Right I'm off to my crafting mess.....................

Newbury Card 1

Oh dear!! I had meant to post yesterday but just ran out of time so do forgive me!! Things here are really manic at the moment and will be for the rest of this month so if my posting is a little bit hit and miss I hope you will bear with me!!

My thanks to everyone who has commented over the last few days - I just don't have the time at the moment to reply under your comments but all of them have really been appreciated - thank you!!

Ok so on to the card I have posted up today. This is one of the cards that I took with me to Newbury. (By the way, yes Hels1970 it was me madly stamping away on Stamp Addicts's stand on the Saturday - mind you at times it was quite busy around me so you did well to spot me at all!!) Once again, as you can see, I was working with the Stamps By Judith range along with the Polycolor pencils and Zest It blending solution. I LOVE these pencils so much that in the end I had to succumb to the tin of 72!! The pencils have now been uploaded onto the Stamp Addicts website - basically the pencils are £1 each so a tin of 12 will cost £12, a tin of 24 will be £24 etc... Click here to see them. The pencils are also available to buy individually too so if you buy a tin of 24 and then want to add a few more colours to it you can. These pencils really glide over the paper and you don't need any pressure to get a good covering of colour and they blend really nicely too, but then they are artist quality ones so you expect them to be good really!! Anyway as well as the pencils the Stamps By Judith are also available from Stamp Addicts but don't forget that these won't appear on their website so you will need to phone them on 01234 855833 to order any of them.

Stamps By Judith
F-36 Medium Flowerpot
C-55 Small Flowerpot
H-195 Fine Poppy
F-188 Simple Daisy
AA-66 Swirl Flower
AA-45 Bee
AAA-140 Sprig-let
AAA-141 Grass Tuft
F-214 Birthday Wishes

Denami - M65 Large Dot Swirls

Judikins - 2972G Mince Flourish

Aug Issue of Craft Stamper

Hi everyone. Here is a sneaky peek of my project that I have in Craft Stamper this month - it is all about colouring with your Copics with full step-by-step photos.

Followers

Morning everyone. I have been told that some of you have got trouble accessing my blog when using Internet Explorer so I have now moved my Followers down on my sidebar to see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't could you please let me know and I will take off the Followers gadget altogether until Blogger fixes the problem.

Thanks.

Newbury

Hi Everyone. My thanks to all of you who came by Stamp Addicts's stand yesterday - it was so nice to see you all. It is really nice for me to see familiar faces. I had intended to post yesterday when I got home but by the time I arrived home and had something to eat I just couldn't face moving again, so I just collapsed on the settee and watched a bit of telly before heading for bed.

As you already know I had to get up yesterday at stupid o'clock and consequently this morning I was late getting up. I couldn't believe what the time was when I opened my eyes!! So now I am desperately trying to play catch up as I have loads to do for the next few weeks. (Nothing new there then!!) Actually I am REALLY busy at the moment but I can't tell you why for the time being, so I will apologise now if I don't get time to respond to your lovely comments. However I do really love receiving them though and just receiving feedback in general so please do keep them coming!!

Right I'm off to go and do some work before lunch time - trouble is with the weather being so hot at the moment I would far rather be sitting in the cool somewhere reading a good book!

Anyway I'll catch you tomorrow.......

The Craft Barn's Extravaganza Weekend Card 4

Good morning guys. So here is my offering for today using that Fancy Flourish sheet again(!!) which at the moment you can win by entering my blog candy. The flowers are from my Funky Flowers stamp sheet. Don't forget to see the rest of the images on all 3 of my new sheets just take a look at my sidebar.

This time the flowers were coloured with Copics - this gives a much brighter and cleaner look than the Coloursoft pencils. I absolutely love working with both of these mediums and it just depends on what I want the overall effect to be as to which I choose.

Copics and the Basic Grey paper (that you can see on the left of the card) are available from The Craft Barn and the stamps can be bought from either The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.

**************

Tomorrow I have got to be up at the most ridiculous time of 5.30am as I will be demonstrating at Newbury on Stamp Addicts's stand for the Saturday only. So if anyone is going and fancies bringing me some Dairy Milk chocolate to keep my energy levels up in the heat feel free!! Seriously though if any of you who read this blog will be going to Newbury please do come and introduce yourself as it really would be nice to meet you! Hopefully see you there...........

Craft Barn Extravaganza Weekend Card 2

Oops sorry guys. I had fully intended to post this up yesterday but just ran out of time!!

The dragonflies/butterflies (whatever you want to call them!!) are from my Funky Frames stamp set and the wording and flourishes are from my Fancy Flourishes set.

The image was stamped with Graphite Black Brilliance and coloured using Coloursoft pencils and Sansador to get a soft look to them.

The products used are all available from The Craft Barn and the stamp sheets can be obtained from both The Craft Barn or The Stamp Man.
