Mini Flowers

Apparently it is a lovely bright and warm day out there this morning, here on the south east coast. However I wouldn't know much about that as I have lots to do (yet again!) over the next few days.

I have finished the cards for my workshop at Stamp Addicts but am still working on some sample cards for their demo day. Sarah kindly sent me some new colouring pencils to play with and they are really nice. The only thing I have against them at the moment is that the colours are a bit limited as there is no purple, lilac, pale pinks, or aqua colours!!! This most definitely needs sorting out I think!! The colours that are in the set though blend beautifully and glide onto the paper. I will load up some samples using them once I've completed a few.

Meanwhile the card today is one that I did for The Glitter Pot's demo day using those Penny Black stamps. This particular flower stamp is most definitely my favourite at the moment along of course with that background stamp. The flowers were stamped onto the frosted side of the shrink plastic and coloured with Coloursoft pencils before shrinking it down. The papers (which I am sure you must recognise by now!) are by My Minds Eye. All available from The Glitter Pot.

Thanks Judith. Orange and green isn't a combination that I tend to go for normally but I was quite pleased with the overall look of this one!

You've definitely made me reach for the shrink plastic lately, Kay.
Another lovely card and I agree, the orange and green work so well.
Try and enjoy the sunshine if you can.

Hi Lisa. Well I hope that your shrink plastic efforts have been successful and enjoyable. There'll be a couple more cards to come with shrink on them and then I'll give them a rest!

Hello Kay

Just catching up with you as I have been out of action this past week not been well which could explain why I felt so lack lustre last Sunday but I am pleased to say although it was quite an effort I managed to get my 5 cards made..

Loved Monday's "Pink & Green Dragonflies", Tuesday's "Buzzy Bee", especially liked Thursday's card & I intend to do something very similar later today for a card for our niece.

Friday's card I loved even more, particcularly the colour scheme, my favourite colours.

Yesterday's "Mini Flowers" colour scheme was not one I would have used but it's stunning & I definitely will be using it from now on.

Totally agree with you those colouring pencils need sorting out if there are no lilac, pink or especially aqua in the set.

Going to take time out to soak up the glorious sunshine that we have today, it is so warm as well which will help the arthritis; me thinks a cold lunch on the patio will be just the thing.

Hi Rita,

So sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I do hope that you are on the mend now.

I'm glad that you like the cards I've posted up this week and that the Thursday one has given you some inspiration. Good luck with your card - I'm sure your niece will love it!
