A Craft Barn Spend - Part 2

So as promised here I am back again confessing more of my spending sins from a few days ago at The Craft Barn.  As you saw from yesterday's post I had a lovely time accumulating some cardstock and papers but of course there was more!!  I really liked the look of these Marianne Creatables dies as they look quite ornate - one of them is quite a lot bigger than the other and am thinking the larger one could make quite an interesting easel card?  We'll see!!  I loved that you got some extra swirls and flowers with them too as I think these will be invaluable for embellishing cards with.  (You can never have too many swirls in my book - whether it's stamps, punches or die-cuts!)  The ribbon flower sets looked really interesting too which are the two sets on the right of the above photo.  I haven't tried them out yet but I've seen them on a website and they looked really pretty.  I think I'm correct in that they have slits in the flower dies which you then thread ribbon through - anyway I shall find out in due course!

Now as some of you will already know I seem to be developing a bit of a passion for Martha Stewart punches so when I saw these they were a 'must have' considering that I love flower stamps and girlish imagery so I felt they would get a lot of use!

The mulberry leaves I thought would be the perfect accessory for an upcoming magazine project that I am about to do so these HAD to go into my basket and lastly the ribbons went with some of my papers (from yesterdays post) so it would have been a crime not to have them..................wouldn't it??

OOh Kay, you lucky thing. What will tomorrow bring I ask myself mmm;-)
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I'm thinking I may just have to visit the Craft barn later, hope I can resist a little better than I have in the past (rather doubt it though).

Hope you have lots of fun playing with your latest purchases.

.Oh Kay, you have been having a spend. I actually went to the Craft Barn on Saturday just to pick up some stamps ..... and ending up spending a fortune as well. I also bought a circle Marianne die with swirls some more ranger dabbers and sponges, didn't buy papers, and bought two more stencils, well it was good therapy but not on the bank balance.
Lots of Love JO xxxx

Hi Kay. I see you've been naughty again but what lovely goodies. The papers in your last post are gorgeous. I wish I could just go out and buy so many all in one go.
These dies look really interesting too. I can't wait to see how you use them, I could be quite tempted with these.
And of course, who could resist MS punches. I only have one but adore it and use it at every opportunity.
Thank you for your lovely comments. You really must invest in those LOTV stamps, they're gorgeous to use. I'm hooked and have got several which is something for me as I don't usually go in for cute!!
Now, get crafting with those dies so that I can see how they work, I can feel my credit card itching!!!
Take care
Lisax

Hi Kay,

I was lucky to receive some crafty stash for my birthday and the smaller rectangle Marianne Creatables die was part of it. It went nicely with the larger one that I bought from Crafts U Love.

So far I've only used the swirls in my Big Shot and had to use a pokey tool to extract the die cut image. It does seem to be a common issue if you trawl blogland. I may get some of the foam pieces for Quickutz and try that to see if it makes it easier.

You'll have to let us know if you use them without having to resort to a pokey tool.

Hugs, Pauline x

Mustavcoffee - I think that resisting is futile!! Not much fun either!!!!

Jo - so glad to hear that your will power is on about the same level as mine!!

Lisa - ok, ok!! Give me chance and I'll see what I can come up with using those dies!! I'm hoping to use them in the next couple of weeks on some sample cards for The Craft Barn's June Weekend - we'll see! By the way I had to succumb today to some LOTV stamps!! So you may see a piccie of these shortly.

Pauline - oh I didn't realise that I would be having fun and games with the dies!! I'll let you know how I get on as I'll be using them in my Cuttlebug - fingers crossed I don't have to resort to the 'pokey tool'! It seems as if we have very similar tastes with the things we go for doesn't it?

Sally - I can't wait to see what I make with them either!!

Tracy - looking forward to seeing you too.

Love to you all
Kay xx

Oooh Kay, Ive thoroughly enjoyed nosing over your fab recent crafting purchases! I just wish I could work!

The flower MS punches look great on a card but have to say, I would have never have thought it until I saw it! But then, thats the story of my life!!

Enjoy your new stash!
