Too Many Nice Things & Not Enough Money!!! - Part 2

Well I did promise to show you some more of my new craft stash that has come through my letter box this week.  I never used to like Magnolia stamps very much but I have got to say that over the last few months they have been growing on me - not least because of seeing some of the wonderful cards that others create using these stamps.  So I am now the proud owner of these Magnolia stamps plus I have another Tilda stamp (not pictured) of Tilda sitting with a bee perched on her hand.  (These all came from my good friends at Sir Stampalot.)

As you can see I am also gradually adding to my collection of Copic Sketch pens (also from Sir Stampalot) and I now have quite a few of them.  I must admit that when I first started using Copics I did struggle a little with the blending but that was only because I didn't have the right colours to blend with!  So now I am adding to my collection and buying the markers that I need in order to obtain a good blend between light and dark tones.  I've got to say that once you get the hang of these markers they really are superb and can give your colouring a really professional look.  I have even bought some cardstock from the US as well, that is recommended to use with these markers so will try it out once I have a moment and let you know what I think!

Plus I finally had to succumb to the new colours of Distress inkpads and re-inkers - most of which I bought from Stamp Addicts.  I did have a little play with the inkpads the other day - just to make a chart of the new colours and I must say they are VERY nice! Most of them are quite 'pretty' colours!

For those of you (like me) who like Elisabeth Bell images you might want to look at my sidebar as Elisabeth is currently offering 30 of her stamp designs to win!!  Just click on the picture in my sidebar and it will take you to her blog where you can put your name down to enter the candy!

Now decisions............ decisions...................................................tomorrow.......... do I share a card with you or confess even more of my recent spending!!!

Oh No! You've started on the slippery Magnolia slope lol I too resisted for ages and then ended up spending £100 in one go at Sir Stampalot. Some of the images are just too cute for words. Can't wait to see what you create with them too.

What paper did you get from the States to use with the Copics? The confusing thing with US papers/cardstock is that they have a different weight system. I bought some Neenah Classic Solar White from Stampers Dream. A lot of stampers seem to get good results with SU! Whisper White.

Hugs, Pauline x

More confessions please, Kay. I love seeing what you buy.
I keeping buying Distress inks and think I don't need anymore and then what happens, they bring out a load more, how cruel is that. I do love them though, they're like magic when you just play with them and add things aren't they!!
Right, I'm off to ink up my new LOTV stamps and have a go at colouring them, it might all end in tears!!
Enjoy the sunshine, at least it's getting warmer so you won't need your central heating but I don't envy you without hot water, hope that is soon sorted out.
Hugs

So it seems that I am not the only one to have succumbed to the charms of Tilda then judging by your responses! Normally I like dainty characters but Tilda has most definitely grown on me although I don't think that I will end up buying lots of them - we'll see!!!

Pauline - the cardstock I've ordered to try with the Copics are Gina K Pure Luxury White, Neenah Classic Solar White, Paper Temptress Heavenly White and Stampin Up Whisper White. I'm still waiting for most of this to arrive but will let you know what I think once I've had chance to play with each of them.

Lisa - both the hot water and the heating are back up and running now! I hope you've been enjoying your new stamps!

Lou - I've seen your work with the Magnolias and it is just amazing! I'd love to see you at Sir Stamp - maybe one day??

Bev - I'm hoping not to get too addicted to Magnolia as my poor bank balance is struggling as it is!

Kay xx
