A Flower For You!

I thought that today we would have a rest from the Funky Flowers (as I have more of these to show you) and go with a card that I did last summer for my Colouring Techniques DVD.

As I think we all know by now, I love the colour lilac and if I combine it with another colour it is normally with blue but for a change I decided to go with green for this card and I was actually quite pleased with the colour scheme.

The main image is by Penny Black and was stamped onto watercolour card and then watercoloured using water-based markers along with a water brush.  The flourish stamp (Judikins) that you see around the panel was stamped using a green water-based marker and then I gently traced over the stamped impressions with my water brush to soften the lines.

The flowers were punched out from Basic Grey background papers and Bazzill cardstock using my retro flower punches.

Materials used:
Penny Black Mouse from The Glitter Pot
Judikins Mince Flourish (around main panel and on green panel) and Mince Flowers and Leaves stamp (on lilac panel) from Stamp Addicts
Retro flower punches from The Hobby House
Friends Always stamp from a Hero Arts clear stamp set from The Glitter Pot

Hope you like the card!!

Hi Kay,

I'm not a big fan of green, but the combo with the lilac and with your background stamping makes it more appealing. Love that PB image, but I have enough of the teds, hedgies, snowies, cows, cats, penguins and ducks without starting on the mice too.

Just received my MS punches order from ACOT (they had a 3 for 2 offer on) and I didn't get charged Customs VAT. Wayhay!

Hugs, Pauline x

Pauline - sounds like you had a spot of luck regarding those MS punches!

Lisa - good luck with your play session. Don't forget to let me know how it turns out. Regarding a favourite on Dancing On Ice this year I don't think that I have one as yet although I think that Gary Lucy looks really good - he seems to be quite confident on the ice and his movement across the ice seems very smooth but then again I like the personality of Mikey and I think Daniella is quite promising too - see I just don't know!! Last year it was easy as Ray was just absolutely fantastic and I couldn't wait to see what he would do each week and Tod (Carty) was just absolutely hilarious and made me laugh so much!! How about you? Do you have a favourite?

Kim - thanks so much for stopping by! When are you next demoing at The Barn?
