Copic Colour Hopping Class

Hellooooo!!  Just stopping by to let you know that I have a Copic based class coming up at The Craft Barn on Sunday 23rd August featuring an unusual technique that I have been playing around with recently that I have called 'Colour Hopping' as you are hopping from one colour family to another to achieve a multi tonal blend.

Below are a couple of cards that we'll be making in this class using the fab JOFY stamps.
The card above features stamps from one of Jo's brand new stamp sets and the card below uses stamps from one of Jo's older sets.
Click here for details on how to book this class. I hope to see you there!!

Tis the Season Pick of the Week

Hi everyone. I'd just like to begin my thanking everyone for the kind comments that I've received regarding my Lin Brown and Jofy makes. It's been lovely to receive such nice feedback both on here and on my Facebook page - so thank you!! :)

Today I'm stopping by to let you know that Hunkydory have just released a beautiful decoupage collection as the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft called Tis The Season.  I was lucky enough to work with this collection a few days ago and I can honestly say that the detailed foiling on the decoupage elements is beautiful.

Here's one of the cards that I made using this collection to whet your appetite!
As you can see I combined the cardstock with some of the gorgeous snowfall acetate that Hunkydory is now renowned for.

New Jofy Stamps!!

Helloooooo again!!  So as well as being fortunate enough to play with one of Lin Brown's newest stamp sets I was also asked by Jo Firth Young to play with hers!!  (See I have been up to all sorts of things behind the scenes which is why I haven't been posting as I've just been SO busy with lots of secret things - lol!!!  Well that's my excuse anyway!!)

So without further ado here is a look as to what I created to celebrate Jo's latest release of JOFY stamps using one of her new stamp plates JOFY 38.

Using stamps from JOFY 38, stamp the main imagery onto a 12.7 x 21cm white panel using a black Memento inkpad. Colour the imagery with Copics. Create a background around the images using Spun Sugar and Peeled Paint Distress inkpads. Embellish imagery with a white gel pen. Add some stamped and embossed accents using VersaMark and Stampendous’s Shabby White embossing enamel then sprinkle some of this powder onto the card for further embellishment and heat from underneath to set it. Layer to black card and then to a white card blank.
