Hi everyone. Well what a manic weekend that was! I do hope that for everyone who came to The Craft Barn's Extravaganza Weekend that you enjoyed it! I must say that from my perspective the weekend absolutely flew by! My thanks to everyone who stopped by my table and kept me company - it was lovely to see you all!
Unfortunately I didn't get to see anyone else demonstrate as I was kept too busy myself but on the Sunday morning before we started again, I did take the opportunity to have a quick wander around and I must say that from all the cards and samples I saw I felt quite inadequate! There were truly some very talented people there and I think there must have been something for all tastes and styles.
Today I have taken the day off from crafting in order to catch up with all my paperwork etc.... which has been mounting up now for a few weeks. I also need to unpack my demo bag and put everything away that I had just left out on my table before departing for the weekend as it is one BIG mess. Then I really must see about making my Dad a Father's Day card! The trouble is, I REALLY struggle with men's cards and at the moment I am absolutely brain dead as to what to do for him. Somehow I don't think that he will appreciate a Belles 'n' Whistles image or even a Sarah Kay one and if I bought him a card he would be most put out - lol!!
Anyway once I've caught up with myself I will get round to showing you some of the cards that I have made over the last few weeks - as there are quite a few!
PS. You won't believe this but I only bought 2 glitter Spica pens this weekend whilst I was there!! However I will be back at The Craft Barn in 2 weeks time to take my classes and the shop won't be so manic then so I'm sure I'll be able to do better on the 26th June!!

Hi Kay, you were an inspiration, don't short change yourself, I loved watching you colouring an image. The attention to detail in your cards is amazing, I love 'em:)
What a great weekend, so many demos all inspiring, now looking forward to the September event!
Good luck with your Fathers day card, they are difficult, these men LOL xxx
Glad your weekend went well, Kay.
Hugs Lisax
It was certainly busy Kay. I saw your mum on the way back to my car. I enjoyed wtahcing your demo and some of the others - unfortunately the hobby art stamps drew me in and i have now ordered the DVD fateful!. Was nice to see you briefly. Tracy
Hi Kay,
We are all our own worst critics, but the way I see it, all the demonstrators (including you!) are all very talented in different ways.
Shame I didn't get to see all the demos going on because of the tyre puncture on the Saturday, but I had an enjoyable weekend nonetheless. Thanks for the little card, it's lovely.
I spent over £150 less than last year, so felt quite pleased with myself.
Managed to find Crafts U Love on the Monday. Talk about being in the middle of nowhere! Some of the new Marianne Creatables dies found their way into my sticky mitts, as did an EK Success punch, some Nailheads, and a few small Kaisercraft wording/text stamps.
Message for Tracy (Craftnut) - I have Jenny Mayes Hobby Art DVD and it's really good. Thankfully I've already got some of the stamps.
Good luck with the card for your Dad. I'll have to do one for my Father-in-law before I head off to London on Friday. Yikes!
Hugs, Pauline x
Hi Kay, will make an effort to introduce myself next time, sorry, I got a bit shy. Your table was surrounded by lots of ladies watching you intently, difficult to interrupt:) It was a great weekend, I really enjoyed it xx
