Wintery Scenes

Oh no!!!!  It is almost Christmas and I had such good intentions of regularly posting all the Christmas card designs that I've made.  Where did the time go??????

Anyway below are two cards that I made a few months ago now  - both using the Penny Black cling stamp Dashing Through The Snow, the wooden stamp Winter Berries and the clear stamp set A Bright Tomorrow.

On this card I used Distress inkpads for the background along with Memory Box dies - Swirly Tree, Frosty Border and Puffy Clouds. I'd like to enter this card into the Penny Black & More at Allsorts Challenge blog for the It's Your Choice  challenge.

The main card was made from Grand Labels One. I sponged Metallic Silver paint around the edge of the card to give a 'frosty' feel to it.

The girl and sleigh were coloured using Copic markers and Spicas.

With this card I chose to make the main card using a PATP Martha Stewart Snowfall punch set, combined with the Memory Box Winterland Tree die and a Craftwork Cards sentiment. I'd like to enter this card into the Penny Black & More at Allsorts for the It's Your Choice challenge and also the Allsorts Week 185 Oh Christmas Tree.

Again I used a Metallic Silver acrylic paint around the edges of the card.

And of course coloured the girl using Copic markers along with Spicas.

All products used on these cards came from The Glitter Pot.

Just incase I don't get around to blogging again before the big day HAPPY CHRISTMAS  to everyone and a MASSIVE  big thank you for visiting me this year.

HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

A Sweet Little Christmas

Oh dear!!!  That 'time' thing is still happening and I can hardly believe that it is less than 20 days until Christmas!!  Eeeeeeekkkkkk!!  Still haven't finished my Christmas Cards yet!!

Anyway today I have a few cards to show you that I made when I demoed at The Glitter Pot in October.  These cards all use the Forever Friends Christmas teddies along with Doodlebug Sugar Coated Cardstock and the Memory Box Swirly Tree die.

Here's a closer look at the top left card. The Forever Friends Bear is called Santa.

The bear was coloured using Copics.

Here's the top right card. The Forever Friends Bear is called Christmas Gift.

Coloured with Copics.

Here's the bottom left card with the Forever Friends Cup Of Cocoa bear. The card was made using the Grand Labels One Nesties die.

And of course the bear was coloured with Copics!!

And lastly here's the bottom right card using the Pressies For You Forever Friends bear and that Grand Labels One Nesties die again.

Bet you can't guess what I used to colour him with???? LOL!!!

All materials used on the cards came from The Glitter Pot including the Craftwork Cards sentiments. And all of these bears that I used are still half price!!

Now I know that you won't believe me but I hope to post again very soon!!!

My Craft Room

Hi everyone.  Sorry to have been a bit quiet - I think that I may have melted in the heat that hit the UK last week!!  Thankfully it has cooled down a little now and so I feel a bit more like doing stuff again!!

This morning I have finally gotten around to uploading my photos that I took ages ago of my finished craft room and I thought that you might like to see it now that it is finished.

So here goes-

This is the view that greets you as you enter.

Then this as you come around the door.  The island (at the front of the photo) is for me to sit at my laptop.  It has a shelf around the other side which pulls out (under where you sit) to put the laptop on so it is out of the way.

As you go into the room more you can see my bespoke cupboards and fab work top.  (The work tops were left over from when we did the kitchen!!)

This is the room taken from my round table in the window.

And again. This time I was standing the other side of the table. You can see my Grand Calibur and guillotine which live permanently on my worktop.

Behind these purpose built cupboards lurks all my wooden stamps plus some of my papers and cardstock.

As you can see I've kept them all contained in Really Useful boxes and they are all labelled!! How organised am I??

This is a close up of what my handles look like.  The knobs that are on the wardrobe match these as well.  Aren't they pretty!!

Now I know that this looks like a built in wardrobe for clothes and indeed it did use to be!

But now it houses some of my stuff such as my 12x12 papers, cardstock, pens, dies, magazines, etc...

And more boxes behind the third set of doors that you saw containing things like clear stamps, re-inkers, glitter glues, pens, glue, ribbons, etc....

Then lastly behind these doors......

are some more boxes!!  This time containing packing materials, envelopes and odds and ends plus all Mum's quilling stuff.  (She has got the top and bottom shelves in here.  It is surprising just how much stuff she has got!!)

Would you actually believe that I did get rid of a load of my stuff too - lol!!!

Anyway I am now all sorted and it is a real pleasure to be working in there!!

I'll be back soon with a card but meanwhile I must just tell you that The Hobby House are currently having a clearance sale of some of their fabulous self-adhesive pearls.  I bought a whole load a couple of days ago as I just LOVE their embellishments.  So if self-adhesive pearls are your sort of thing you might want to check it out as they are down to just 80p a pack - normally £1.50!!!
